The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has launched a recruitment drive targeting overseas employment, seeking to link more than 1,000 Kenyans to job opportunities abroad.

In a statement issued on October 28, Cabinet Secretary (CS) Alfred Mutua announced that the government, in partnership with recruitment agencies, had invited applicants to attend interviews for job placements in foreign companies.

CS Mutua stated that the interviews will be held from Wednesday, October 29, to Friday, October 31, 2025, at two locations, NITA Mombasa and NITA Athi River.

Interviews are set to take place at NITA Mombasa on October 29, followed by sessions at NITA Athi River on October 30 and 31.

The advertised positions in Dubai and Saudi Arabia span various sectors, including transport, logistics, security, hospitality, and construction.

In Dubai, the CS revealed openings for 350 drivers, 500 riders or delivery drivers, 150 security guards, and 300 warehouse and e-pickers/helpers.

“In Dubai, several job vacancies are available: 350 Drivers (ages 22 to 45), 500 Riders/Delivery Drivers (ages 21–38), and 300 Warehouse & E-Pickers/Helpers (ages 21–40). Also required are 150 Security Guards (ages 21–38, minimum height 5’7”, and fluent in English),”the statement by CS Mutua read in part.

In Saudi Arabia, the available positions, according to Mutua, included 50 Drivers (minimum age 21) and 25 Mechanics (ages 21–45).

The CS added that successful applicants will enjoy a range of benefits based on their placement.

For positions in Dubai, candidates will receive two-year renewable contracts, free accommodation, medical coverage, meals, transport, overtime pay in line with UAE labour laws, and 30 days of annual leave.

Those assigned to Saudi Arabia will be entitled to free food, transport, accommodation, medical insurance, and a two-year contract.

He also highlighted that the commission paid by the job seekers would cater for their air ticket, medical, training, service fee, visa fees and documentation costs.

“Mandatory commission applies on all jobs to cover air ticket, medical, training, service fee, visa fees and documentation costs. This initiative aligns with the Government’s commitment to providing meaningful employment to Kenyans while ensuring fair terms and conditions of work,” the statement by Mutua added.
